Tucson is home of BICAS, a non-profit community bike shop that through recycling of the bicycle promotes education, art, and a healthy environment while providing services and opportunity for those in need. They can teach you how to fix or build your own bike just from recycled parts! (by the way, for all your bicycle needs… check out the Ordinary Bike Shop). Tucson also hosts some very active environmental organizations, such us the Sky Island Alliance, which works towards protecting and preserving the precious and delicate beautiful surroundings, literally an Island in the Sky...!
